The health and wellness of you and your family is our mission. Our
services include acute care, preventative medicine, and ongoing health
treatment.
Medications/Refills:
Please bring your medications or a current list of
medications to each office visit. Failure to do so may result in
your not being seen by the physician. Please obtain prescription
refills during your office visit. If you should need a refill
between office visits please call your pharmacist and havve them fax
us your request to (919) 877.8118. Refills will be called or faxed
to your pharmacy within 24-48 hours unless a problem exists with the
refill request. Check with your pharmacy, not our office, to see if
the prescription is ready. There may be a charge for prescription
refills. Note that neither narcotics nor antibiotics are routinely
called in to the pharmacy without an office visit.
Insurance:
Please bring your photo ID (e.g. Driver's License) and your current
insurance ID card to each visit so we can avoid filing errors. If at
any time your insurance should change, please contact our office
immediately so we may accurately file claims. We currently have
insurance contracts with Blue Cross, Cigna, United, Medicare,
Medicare Complete, and Medicaid. We also are happy to see
individuals without health insurance as well as those who have
insurances with whom we do not have contracts. As a courtesy, we
will assist in the filing of insurance for those who have insurances
in which we are not participating providers.
Payment:
Payment is due at the
time of service rendered. We accept cash, checks, money orders, and
all major credit cards. Checks are payable to Metro Internal
Medicine, P.A. To expedite patient flow and limit patient wait time
for their appointments, we recommend to our patients to pay their
co-payments, relevant deductible amounts, and address prior balances
prior to being seen by the physician. Charges beyond sixty days from
the date of service will be considered delinquent. Payment plans are
available for those who are financially challenged. Unresolved or
delinquent balances may be placed with an outside collection agency
and may also be subject to finance charges, attorney fees, and
collection agency fees.
